The actual day of their wedding was the first time that I met Laura and Gord in person – before that I had only talked with Laura through emails and semi-met then through a Skype meeting we had a few weeks before the wedding. I am always touched when couples choose me as their Kamloops Wedding Photographer based solely on my photos, but of course I am always curious to see what they will be like when I finally get to meet them in person on their wedding day! Laura and Gord exceeded my expectations of how lovely they seemed over the internet! Laura is a classic beauty – with gorgeous pale skin, big eyes and a kind personality (I always associate people with baby animals and she is an elegant swan for sure!). Gord is so wonderful – his smile can light up a room and one can instantly tell how well rounded and well liked he is. And the way that he looks at Laura… sigh – his immense love for her shined bright through his eyes the entire day without falter.
The couple, who live near Vancouver chose the South Thompson Inn in Kamloops, BC as their wedding venue and what a beautiful day it was. Their ceremony was later in the day and the rain clouds threatened us with their presence the whole day but only sprinkled a small amount! People always think that clouds are a bad thing on their wedding day, but if you’ve been on a shoot with me when there are clouds you’ll have most likely heard me say that, “clouds make me life!” You’ll see why below!
I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to have spent the lingering days of summer weddings with – I had so much fun executing Gord’s hilarious groomsmen photo ideas and capturing Laura as the stunning bride that she was. Thanks for sharing your day with me you two! xo
